Ashley Hebert - Episode 2

Viva Las Vegas!
This week's episode started with Ashley's first date card going to cheesy (yet cute) William!
William got to go on a wedding themed date in Vegas.  Ashley wasn't convinced that William was ready to walk down the aisle with her so she decided to test him.  First they stopped by a wedding cake shop and picked out their favorite cake.  Then went into a ring shop.  William had a good sense of humor about the whole thing.  Ashley was shocked though that when she got him to the wedding chapel that he actually, really, said I DO!  When the pastor asked if Ashley would take his hand in marriage she said "Hmm, maybe someday.  But not today."  After the faux wedding they scooted off to dinner.  Their dinner was very unique and something that no one has ever done before.  They actually ate dinner on the water in front of the Bellagio.  You know, where they do all those cool water shows?  Pretty romantic.  At dinner Ashley and William found out that they had quite a bit in common.  Both of them had father's that were alcoholics.

Second date of the evening was the group date.  She took along Blake, Bentley, Ames, Constantine, Ben F., Stephen, Ryan M., Chris D., Nick, West, and Lucas.  All of these guys got to jet-set down to Vegas to spend some time with Ashley.  Much to their surprise they found out that they were going to be collaborating dances with the famous Jabbawockeez:
All twelve guys were split into two teams of 6.  Each team had to make up a dance to impress the Jabbawockeez so they would pick them to share the stage during their performance that night.  The other 6 guys had to fly home if they lost so there was a lot on the line!  Both teams performed and in the end the following six guys were chosen to rock the stage with the Jabbawockeez:

Bentley, Blake, Ben F., Nick, West, and Lucas.  The guys did pretty good on stage and loved every minute of it.

The final date of the night was down to two guys.  Ashley decided to take a gamble (since she was on a Vegas roll!) and put two of the guys faces on a coin.  Whichever side the coin landed on, that guy got the last date in Vegas.  It was between Mickey and J.P..  Mickey won!  Which is good because he's hotter.
Everything they did on their date was determined by the flip of a coin.  Kind of spontanious, kind of silly.  I was surprised that Ashley even left the decision of whether Mickey got to stay or not to a coin toss.  I think Mickey was a little taken back by it, too.  But, she did!  Lucky for Mickey it landed on the side that let him stay so, he got a rose.

Back in L.A., we almost got to see the mask guy (Jeff) reveal himself to Ashley at the cocktail party.  He was finally ready to be done with the mask.  Unfortunately, right before he was about to take the mask off, their conversation was interrupted by another guy.  Bummer!  I was shocked that Ashley didn't say something like "Um, can you wait a minute?  Freaky-masked-guy is about to become freaky-un-masked-guy."  But, she didn't.

I've got to mention Ashley's one-on-one time with Bentley at the party.  Either ABC is editing this guy into looking like a complete jerk OR he's just really a jerk.  He's blaintently open about saying that Ashley isn't his type and that she's more into him than he is in her.  Wow.  What a piece of work.

Tonight's fatalities were Matt, Ryan M., and Stephen.

Ashley Hebert - Episode 1

On tonight's episode Ashley got to meet all 25 of the single-and-ready-to-mingle bachelors.  There were, in my opinion, some instant front runners.  Let's start with the man who ended up with the first impression rose, Ryan P.
This 31 year old Solar Energy Executive impressed Ashley at first sight.  He's a really nice guy, started a company with a few other people from the ground up, and just seems like an all around gentleman.  He was the first to step out of the limo to meet her so, I think that's a good omen.  Their conversation at the cocktail party set the bar really high for the rest of the guys.  She was super impressed with him which is why he ended up with the first impression rose at the end of the episode.

Another front runner was William.
You couldn't help but love this nerdy, fun-loving, 29 year old from Fostoria, OH.  His "getting to know you" segment started out with him walking in the rain and trying to keep his umbrella from blowing open in the wind.  I thought he was hysterical, but that's just my type of sense of humor.  But, I feel like his goofy nature will appeal to Ashley and I think it did.  There was no question in my mind he would get a rose at the end of the night.

Last front runner surprised me.  It was Ben F.
He brought Ashley some of his homemade wine and she loved it.  I think the fact that he was only 28 and owned a winery really appealed to her.  At first glance I wouldn't of thought Ashley would've hit it off with him, but she seemed intrigued.

Now lets discuss the guys that stood out for all the WRONG reasons.  We can't get to this segment of the post and not talk about Tim.
This guy was looking for trouble.  He didn't like the mysterious "mask guy".  He made him uncomfortable and he let him know that.  Tim decided to bury all of his cares with alcohol and ended up passing out before Ashley even had a chance to give out any roses at all.  That was after he was completely belligerent in front of her in a drunken stupor.  Needless to say he made a very early exit.

Mystery Man Jeff.
Jeff showed up to the meet-and-greet wearing a black masquerade mask on his face.  That's why ABC won't show his picture on their website.

Ashley respected Jeff's decision not to show his face because he told her that it was because he wanted her to get to know him for "what was on the inside".  He took his face out of the equation.  Way to go Jeff.  All you really accomplished though was weirding out the rest of the guys and you almost got your butt beat by a drunken Tim.

Bentley, Bentley, Bentley...
Oh Bentley.  We were hoping you weren't going to be the jerk of the season because you represent our fair city of Salt Lake.  Unfortunately, it appears you will be.  And there isn't a darn thing we can do about it.  Ashley was forewarned of Bentley which made her very nervous to meet him.  Before taping of the show began, she received a message from a good friend of hers who just so happens to be friends with Bentley's ex-wife.  The friend told her that Bentley was going on the show, solely, to promote his business (which is in Draper!).  Much to our dismay, she feels that Bentley deserves a chance and seems like "a nice guy".  She's also very attracted to him so, we'll see where it goes.  I have a bad feeling about this one.

The men that got the axe tonight are Tim (surprised?), Anthony, Chris M., Frank, Jon, Michael, and Rob.

(I actually really liked Anthony.  It's a shame she didn't keep him!)

This season looks pretty fun from the previews.  We'll get to visit Las Vegas, Fiji, Thailand, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.  Should be some pretty sights to see!  We're down to 18 guys and from what I hear the next episode will take place in Las Vegas.  Viva Las Vegas!

Ashley Hebert Bio

Ashley Hebert couldn't admit she was in love with Brad Womack - and it might have cost her the final rose - but that's all in the past. The energetic and vivacious Hebert, who is ready to start a new life with a soul mate she might soon meet, will get a second opportunity to find love when she stars in the seventh edition of The Bachelorette, which will premiere MONDAY, MAY 23.

Ashley, 26, who currently resides in Philadelphia, where she is finishing her degree in dentistry, went from being one of the favorites to capture Brad's heart on the just completed 15th edition of ABC's hit romance reality series, The Bachelor, to narrowly missing her goal of finding a future husband. Ashley and Brad clicked on their enchanting first date at a private carnival, discovering an electric connection and sharing a magical first kiss. After showing Brad her charming hometown and his meeting her family, the rollercoaster ride took them to South Africa, where, in a stunning turnaround, their relationship fell apart. It seemed the couple wanted different things out of life. Ashley was frustrated she couldn't communicate her feelings to Brad, and he gallantly decided to let her go before the rose ceremony, knowing he would not offer her a rose. Ashley was surprised and heartbroken that her perfect fairytale came to an abrupt end. It would take her time to find the silver lining to this bad situation and move forward.

That time has come and now Hebert, stronger and more confident than ever, is prepared to find a balance between her career and personal life and find the love of her life. She fell in love once on The Bachelor, so she truly believes that it will happen again - and this time she will be ready and open to express her feelings to the right guy.

A native of Madawaska, Maine, Ashley is the youngest of three siblings. An academic scholar, she graduated summa cum laude from the University of Maine with a BS in biology. A love of dance fueled many of Ashley's successes. She was Maine's 2002 Junior Miss and went on to compete in America's Junior Miss, where she received a scholarship for the fitness portion of the competition. She was the captain of the dance team in college and also worked in an after-school program teaching dance. Since the fall of 2007, Ashley has attended University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and will graduate in May with a 3.96 GPA and the degree of DMD, Doctor of Dental Medicine. She still teaches dance: ballet, jazz and hip hop.

Ashley loves her family, including her nieces, nephew and her dog, Boo. Her most romantic date would consist of a night staying in with her guy, a bottle of wine, music and a roaring fireplace. Which one of the bachelors will she meet on the series to share that perfect scenario with her? Ashley can't wait to find out.
